Sciences. She directed films such as Construindo
Pontes (IDFA) and Eneida (27th It’s
All True). As a cinematographer, her credits
include Viajo Porque Preciso, Volto Porque Te Amo(2009).
RICARDO CASAS
A
Uruguayan documentary filmmaker and producer, he made his directorial debut
with Donde
Había la Pureza Implacable del Olvido (1998), about musician Eduardo Darnauchans. His
most recent film is El
Padre de Gardel (2014),
about the political life of Carlos Escayola.
VIVIAN OSTROVSKY
Born in New York, raised in Rio, and
trained in Paris, she began filming as a teenager. She has directed more than
30 films built from fragments, everyday images, and personal and institutional
archives. She also played a key role in bringing greater visibility to films
made by women.

A
documentary filmmaker who also creates and edits fiction projects. Her feature
directorial debut, Fico
te Devendo uma Carta Sobre o Brasil (2019), won awards at IDFA (2019) and the 25th It’s All True (2020) and was a finalist
for the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro (2021).
ERYK ROCHA
Winner
of the Brazilian Competition at the 7th It’s All True with his feature debut, Rocha que Voa (2002), and recipient of
the L’Oeil d’Or for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival for Cinema Novo (2016). A Queda do Céu (2024), co-directed with
Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha, premiered at Cannes.
HELENA TASSARA
A
researcher and filmmaker, she holds a PhD in Film and completed postdoctoral
research at ECA-USP. She served as Executive Director of PAVIC – Pesquisadores
de Audiovisual, Iconografia e Conteúdo (2022–2025). Her work spans research,
curation, screenwriting, directing, and the development and management of
cultural projects across varioous medias.
