A documentary about one of the most important films in the history of cinema: Los Olvidados (The Forgotten), directed by Luis Buñuel in 1950 and inscribed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. Buñuel made a film between reality and fiction, expressing his concern for poor children, for the disinherited of Las Hurdes, and for young people in Mexico condemned to poverty and violence, youths with whom he himself, as an exile, felt solidarity. For the first time, the importance of the painter Francisco de Goya in the film’s conception is examined, as the camera returns to the places where it was shot.
