During the summer vacations, a documentary filmmaker and his twelve-year-old son stay in an abandoned hotel in Lisbon—an empty hotel like the one in the movie The Shining. The boy is haunted by stories of monsters and ghosts. But during their stay in Lisbon, other ghosts emerge: that of the first Portuguese serial killer and that of men who suddenly go berserk and abandon their families.
