Using as a starting point the article “A Very Personal Celebration“, written in 1977 by the cinema critic and professor Paulo Emílio Salles Gomes (1916-1977) and published posthumously, this poetic essay is structured based on the reappropriation of archives by evoking not only excerpts from films quoted in Paulo Emilio‘s article, but also other films evoked from diverse affinities. Attention is drawn to the importance of film preservation, given the huge amount of titles lost throughout history and no longer recoverable.
