INTERNATIONAL JURY


ANDRÉS DI TELLA


Argentine documentary filmmaker, writer, professor, and curator. His directing credits include “La T.V. y yo” (It‘s All True 2001), “327 Cuadernos” (It‘s All True 2015), and “Mixtape La Pampa” (It‘s All True 2024) – works that earned him a retrospective tribute at the festival‘s 17th edition in 2012. Founder of BAFICI, he has served as a visiting professor at Princeton and a guest professor at Harvard.


BILL NICHOLS


A world-renowned authority on documentary history and theory, Bill Nichols taught at San Francisco State University and chaired the Society for Cinema and Media Studies in the United States. His seminal publications include “Introduction to Documentary” (2001), “Engaging Cinema: An Introduction to Film Studies” (2010), and “Speaking Truths with Film: Evidence, Ethics, Politics in Documentary” (2016).


ELIZA CAPAI


Brazilian filmmaker Eliza Capai won the 2023 It‘s All True National Feature and Medium- Length Film Competition with her fourth documentary feature, “Incompatible With Life”. Her notable works include the short film “Severinas” (2014), feature documentaries “The Tortoise and the Tapir” (2016) and “Your Turn” (2019), and the limited series “Elize Matsunaga: Once Upon a Crime” (2020).


BRAZILIAN JURY


DÉBORA IVANOV


Director of distribution company Gullane+ and partner at Gullane Entretenimento S/A, she serves as a full member of the Superior Cinema Council – the Ministry of Culture‘s collegiate body – and previously directed ANCINE (2015-2019). Her production credits include Carlos Cortez‘s “Geraldo Filme” (1998), winner of It‘s All True‘s 1998 Brazilian Competition.

PAULO SACRAMENTO


A director, producer, and editor, he helmed the documentary feature “The Prisoner of the Iron Bars”, which won both the Brazilian and International Competitions at It‘s All True 2003. His fiction works include “Riocorrente” (2013) and “The Eye and the Knife” (2018). As a curator, he has restored works by filmmakers such as Aloysio Raulino and José Mojica Marins.

ROBERTO BERLINER


Director and producer Berliner won It‘s All True‘s 1999 Brazilian Competition with his short film “Born to Be Blind”. His notable works include documentary features “A Farra do Circo” (co-directed with Pedro Bronz, 2014) and “The Four Paralamas” (co-directed with Paschoal Samora, It‘s All True 2020), as well as the fiction film “Nise: The Heart of Madness” (Best Picture, Tokyo 2015).
