Militant of the Brazilian Revolutionary Communist Party (PCBR), Theodomiro Romeiro dos Santos was the first Brazilian sentenced to death during the Republican period – due to the assassination of a sergeant in 1971. The sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment. Arrested at the age of 18, he was brutally tortured and served nine years in prison. The imminence of the Amnesty Law in 1979, far from a relief, only reassured that they were planning to kill him. He managed to escape, embarking on an adventure that remained hidden for years. In this film, accompanied by his youngest son, Guga, Theodomiro retraces his trajectory.
