Twenty-five years after the feature film "Brave New Land” about the Kadiwéu people (native Brazilian Indians), Lucia Murat returns to the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. Examining their present living conditions, the documentary shows the impact of the arrival of electricity and television, and their conflicts with the white cattle breeders who invaded part of their reservation, even though it had been demarcated in 1984. The challenges of this new indigenous identity — torn between the reservation and the city where many Kadiwéus migrated to work and study — are depicted in all of its complexity.
